Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

There can be no doubt that we are in for a fight! We will have to fight for every right! We will have to fight for every firearm! We will have to fight for every bullet we want to fire! If you sit on the fence this time we will lose it all!

This room may well be the hardest to maintain. We will try to have a link to every bill that effects us as hunters, fishers, outdoorsman and firearm owners, so you can read it and make up your mind on how to respond. This will include anything that affects our rights under the 2nd amendment, our rights as hunters & fishers and as outdoorsmen in general. We don't want to cover just the Federal laws but your state laws as well. All laws will affect us all sooner or later.

We will need your help to do this. Send us a link to your government offices, to your politicians. Any of the clubs in your area, including shooting ranges, that have a web site should be linked through our Club House. If they don't have a web site then post the URL to this site on their bulletin board (http://www.mygunroom.com/politics/index.htm).

If a particularly hot bill comes up let us know and we will get a chat room opened up so it can be discussed. It is time for all firearms enthusiast to step forward and be heard. You don't have to belong to the NRA or any of the other organizations that are out there fighting for YOUR rights, but it helps! The old clique is true: There is power in Numbers! You don't have to be a member of anything to be heard by your State & Local Politicians you just have to let them know how you feel and think!

There are a lot of firearm owners out there. Many of them would help if they knew how. This is the place to get to them. We will help as much as we can. What we won't do is provide help to anyone or any group trying to incite violence of any kind. We are all adults. If we work together we can win. If we think to win thru violence then we are already lost. Remember, any time a firearm is used wrongly it reflects on us all!
